What is Beclmetasone?
Beclometasone is a potent topical corticosteroid. The active ingredient beclometasone relieves the symptoms of skin inflammation. Beclometasone is available online through a Dokteronline.com partner pharmacy.
What is this medicine used for?
Topical steroids are used for treating inflammatory skin conditions such as eczema or psoriasis. The typical symptoms of these skin conditions include:
- Red and/or raised patches on the skin;
- Itchy and/or scaly patches;
- Itchy and/or moist bumps or spots;
- Dry skin.
Beclometasone reduces inflammation and calms the skin, relieving symptoms such as dryness, redness and itching.
How to use Beclometasone
Beclometasone is available as a cream. It is likely you will be prescribed the cream if the affected areas of your skin are moist or weeping. Apply a small amount to the areas of skin which are inflamed. Then gently rub it into the skin until it has disappeared. Take care to avoid getting the cream in the eyes. Wash your hands immediately after use. If you are using a moisturiser along with this preparation, apply the moisturiser first. Then wait 10 to 15 minutes before applying Beclometasone cream. This allows time for the moisturiser to be absorbed before the topical corticosteroid is applied. Topical corticosteroids should be used for the shortest possible time. Continue to use your cream until the flare-up has gone and then stop it. Consult your doctor for more information.
