What is Cefixime?
Cefixime is an antibiotic. It works by fighting bacteria, microbes, in your body that are susceptible to Cefixime. Cefixime is used for treating gonorrhoea, among other things.
How to use Cefixime
It is important that you follow your doctor’s instructions and read the package leaflet before you start using Cefixime. Be sure to finish the prescription as directed. Taking less than the required dosage may result in the bacteria becoming resistant to the medication. This will make it difficult to cure the infection, or the infection will return after the course is finished.
Side effects of Cefixime
Like all medicines, Cefixime may cause a number of side effects. The most common ones are gastrointestinal symptoms, headache, dizziness, fatigue, fever and itching. Consult your doctor immediately if you experience severe side effects or side effects that are not listed on the leaflet.
