What is Neoclarityn?
Neoclarityn tablets contain the active ingredient desloratadine, which is a type of medicine called a non-sedating antihistamine. It works by suppressing allergic reactions such as sneezing, skin rash or itchy eyes without making you sleepy. Neoclarityn is a prescription-only medicine.
What is Neoclarityn used for?
Neoclarityn is used to relieve the symptoms of nasal allergies such as hay fever, dust mite allergies or pet allergies, or to reduce hypersensitivity reactions to specific foods. The typical symptoms of these allergies include:
- Rhinitis symptoms such as nasal congestion, runny nose or repeated sneezing;
- Shortness of breath;
- Itching in the mouth;
- Nettle rash (skin rash with itchy swellings);
- Eye problems (infected, watery red and/or itchy eyes).
Neoclarityn works by blocking histamine receptors. This prevents allergic reactions and provides relief from the typical symptoms of hay fever and nettle rash.
