What is Primatour?
Primatour is a treatment specifically designed to help avoid or treat the symptoms of motion sickness. The tablets contain the active ingredients chlorcyclizine and cinnarizine, which belong to a group of medicine called antihistamines. Primatour is used to control motion sickness and prevents symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and dizziness. It can be used for both short and long trips. Primatour is also suitable for use in children from the age of two.
What is Primatour used for?
Primatour is used for all types of motion sickness, including car sickness, air sickness and sea sickness. Motion sickness or kinetosis, also known as travel sickness, is a common disturbance of the inner ear that is caused by repeated motion. It occurs when the brain receives conflicting messages. The eyes say that your body is stationary while the balance organ says that you are spinning or moving. As a result, the brain’s vomiting centre is triggered and you develop symptoms such as dizziness, nausea and vomiting. Primatour blocks receptors in the vomiting centre, which reduces or prevents these symptoms.
How to use Primatour
Primatour can be used to prevent motion sickness, and should be taken before travel. Take one tablet half an hour before departure. Primatour can also be used to treat motion sickness symptoms after they start. Primatour tablets should be swallowed whole without chewing. They can be taken with or without food. During long journeys, you can take one tablet every eight hours if needed. Do not use this medicine continuously for more than 14 days without consulting a doctor.
