Aknemycin is a type of topical medication used for the treatment of acne. Aknemycin Plus lotion can only be used externally on the skin, and it contains two active ingredients. The ingredients of Aknemycin Plus are Tretinoin – a vitamin A acid that helps new skin to grow and erythromycin. Erythromycin is a kind of topical antibiotic that attacks and kills the bacteria on the skin.

What is Aknemycin?

Aknemycin plus is a solution that contains two active ingredients, a retinoid, or vitamin A substance called tretinoin, and an antibiotic called erythromycin. Aknemycin Plus works in a number of ways to help cure acne and help new skin to form. The Tretinoin in this medication supports the turnover of new skin cells, allowing for the natural exfoliation of the surface layer of skin. The Tretinoin in Aknemycin can also help to unblock the sebaceous glands and pores that would lead to additional acne in the future.

Also the antibiotic ingredient in Aknemycin works by attacking the bacteria that is responsible for causing acne. The main bacteria that erythromycin works against is Propionibacterium acnes. This is a very common kind of bacteria that feeds on the sebum produced by the glands in your skin. The bacteria produces waste as it feeds to irritate the glands on your skin, causing them to become inflamed and painful. By controlling numbers of bacteria, Aknemycin can help to bring the inflammation in your skin to a stop and allow the skin to heal.

Aknemycin topical medication also comes with an alcohol base. This alcohol base helps to dissolve away the excess oil on your skin that may cause additional spots or pimples to form.

When is Aknemycin used?

Aknemycin Plus is a common treatment used to treat acne. Acne is the term used to refer to when spots and pimples form uncontrollably on the skin. Though this condition is rarely dangerous, it can be very uncomfortable and embarrassing for a lot of people. Excessive acne can make it difficult for people to maintain self-esteem.

Aknemycin Plus helps to reduce the number of pimples that form on the skin. One of the active ingredients, erythromycin is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Some brands using this product contain high levels of alcohol, which help to dry out extra oils on the skin.

Crucially, Aknemycin is available via prescription, which means that you will need to have a consultation with a professional to ensure that this medication is suitable for you.

How do you use Aknemycin?

Aknemycin Plus is a very easy to use medication that comes in topical form. This means that you apply it directly to the area that you wish to treat, rather than taking it in tablet form, or using the medication orally. It’s important to follow the instructions provided by your consultant when you begin taking any new medication, including Aknemycin. You will also receive a patient leaflet with your medication that can tell you more about how to get the most out of your treatment.

Aknemycin needs to be applied once or twice per day, according to the instructions given by your doctor. Before you begin using Aknemycin, it is important to make sure that your hands, and the area of skin that you are applying the medication to are clean. This means that you will need to wash the skin with a cleanser and pat it dry. Make sure you don’t rub the skin dry, as this can cause the skin to break. Use the applicator in the bottle to apply the right amount of Aknemycin to the area. You should only apply enough to cover the area thinly. However, you will need to apply enough to cover the entire space, not just the individual spots.

Aknemycin should not be applied to burned, broken, or damaged areas of skin. You should also avoid applying Aknemycin to areas affected by eczema, rosacea, dermatitis, and other skin conditions. Make sure that you avoid getting this medication onto your lips, eyelids, around your eyes, nose or mouth. If you accidentally get this medication into any of those areas, wash it away with warm water thoroughly.

If you want to apply other medications, moisturizers, or cosmetics after using Aknemycin, you will need to make sure that the medication as fully absorbed into your skin first. Do not apply any other substances less than 20 minutes after using Aknemycin.

What dosages are there?

The typical dose of Aknemycin is a thin layer of the medication applied to the affected areas once or twice each day. It is important to only use the amount of medication suggested by your doctor or consultant. Additionally, your duration of treatment will need to be established by a doctor or consultant. The length of time that you can continue to use Aknemycin for will depend on the condition of your skin, however, you may find that your treatment lasts anywhere between nine and twelve weeks, depending on how bad your skin condition might be.

Crucially, you should not apply Aknemycin more often than your doctor instructs, as this could cause your skin to worsen, and may cause side effects like irritated, red or scaly skin.

Aknemycin may initially make it seem as though your acne is getting worse when you first begin using it. This is common during the first few weeks of treatment, as your skin will be getting used to the new substance. Additionally, the medication in Aknemycin takes action on the deeper and previously unseen spots and pimples in your skin. This means that you may see more spots coming to the surface initially. You will usually need to continue to use Aknemycin for at least a couple of months before you see any significant improvement to your condition. Make sure you are patient and that you follow your doctor or consultant’s instructions carefully.
