Prescription-only medicines does not sell (prescription) medicines. At your request, we can - in your name and on your behalf - arrange a consultation with an independent doctor for you, possibly in combination with the prescribing of treatment which is then sold and delivered by an independent pharmacy.

Before such a consultation, you must first complete a medical questionnaire and select your preferred treatment. A doctor will evaluate your answers and may decide to write a prescription. We will then send the prescription to a pharmacy that will send you the medicine.

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory disorder of the airways, causing constant inflammation of the mucous membranes in the lungs and occasional bronchial narrowing. The problem is an oversensitivity of the lungs of asthma patients, which overreact to certain triggers such as smoke, house dust mites, pets and exhaust gasses. These triggers can cause annoying symptoms.

Small infections in the lungs as a reaction to the above substances trigger asthma symptoms. The muscles that surround the airways tighten and the production of mucus is increased. These factors cause the airways to narrow, causing common symptoms of asthma such as tightness of the chest, shortage of breath, coughing and respiratory problems. Although asthma is a chronic disease, the symptoms of asthma come and go. In fact, asthma patients may remain symptom-free for weeks. An asthma attack is when asthma symptoms worsen suddenly.

What causes asthma is still unclear, but research has shown that there are certain factors that increase the risk of developing asthma, such as hereditary factors and allergies. Unfortunately, there is not yet a cure for asthma. However, the severity of the symptoms can be reduced with medication. Asthma medications can be divided into two groups: bronchodilators and anti-inflammatory agents. They are often taken using an inhaler so that the medicine reaches the lungs directly. With proper treatment, living with asthma is certainly manageable.
