What is Buscopan?
Buscopan contains the active ingredient hyoscine butylbromide, which is a type of medicine called an antispasmodic. It is used to relieve colicky abdominal pain by relaxing the smooth muscles in the gastrointestinal tract. This helps to reduce painful spasms in the stomach and intestines. Buscopan is available without prescription in tablet and suppository form. You can order Buscopan online through a Dokteronline.com partner pharmacy.
What is Buscopan used for?
Buscopan is used for spasms of the stomach, intestines or bile duct (gastrointestinal tract), including those associated with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). IBS is a disorder characterised by severe abdominal pain and cramping, alteration of bowel habits (alternating constipation and diarrhoea), bloating, flatulence and/or mucus-coated stools. Buscopan reduces these symptoms. It is absorbed directly in the intestines and works instantly.
