Cyclotest Ovulation Test

Cyclotest Ovulation Test

Cyclotest LH sticks are used as an ovulation prediction test. The test strips detect the presence of luteinising hormone (LH) in urine, which increases dramatically two days before ovulation. This is the most fertile period of your cycle, when your chances of conception are highest.

What is the Cyclotest ovulation test?

Cyclotest LH sticks are used as an ovulation prediction test. The test strips detect the presence of luteinising hormone (LH) in urine, which increases dramatically two days before ovulation. This is the most fertile period of your cycle, when your chances of conception are highest.

What is it used for?

The Cyclotest ovulation test (Cyclotest LH sticks) is used to determine when ovulation will occur, which can help you find the time when you are most able to become pregnant. The Cyclotest ovulation test (Cyclotest LH sticks) can also be used to prevent pregnancy. If the sticks detect a rise in LH, you can decide to take precautionary measures to avoid getting pregnant. This can be especially useful if you do not want to use or cannot tolerate birth control pills or other forms of contraception, such as condoms. Read the entire package leaflet carefully before you start using the Cyclotest LH sticks for optimal protection against pregnancy.

When to use Cyclotest ovulation test (LH sticks)

The Cyclotest ovulation test (Cyclotest LH sticks) can detect a rise in LH levels. This hormone is always present in human urine but not always detectable. The best time to perform the test is on the days surrounding ovulation. Most women with a 28-day cycle ovulate halfway through their cycle (i.e. around 14 days after the first day of your last period). If your normal menstrual cycle is 28 days, you will therefore need to start testing on day 11. See the package leaflet for more information on possible test days.

How to use the Cyclotest ovulation test

Consult the package leaflet for precise instructions on when and how to use the Cyclotest LH sticks. For the most accurate results, you should use the Cyclotest ovulation test (Cyclotest LH sticks) at the same time each day, and for two hours before testing, do not go to the toilet and reduce your liquid intake, to make the LH hormone level more concentrated and therefore easier to detect. Hold the stick in your urine stream according to the instructions on the package leaflet.

Cyclotest LH sticks are most effective when used in combination with a Cyclotest monitor (Cyclotest 2 Plus) or Cyclotest Baby – a device that forecasts your fertility window based on your body temperature.
