What is MetaRelax?
MetaRelax is a magnesium complex supplemented with vitamins B and an amino acid called taurine. MetaRelax helps with stress and fatigue and contributes to normal muscle function by increasing magnesium levels in the body. MetaRelax is available online through a Dokteronline.com partner pharmacy.
What is MetaRelax used for?
Magnesium is a mineral that plays a key role in many processes in the body. Given current food preferences, however, our magnesium intake is often too low. Chances are you’re not getting as much magnesium as your body needs, although you may not be aware of it. Some of the symptoms that have been linked to a magnesium deficiency include:
- Involuntary and abnormal muscular contractions (e.g. eye twitches);
- Intolerance to stress;
- Sleep problems;
- Low energy level;
- Muscle cramps.
Magnesium deficiency can be caused by stress or by not eating enough foods that contain the essential mineral. Certain individuals are also more susceptible to magnesium deficiency, including pregnant women, athletes, adolescents, older persons and people taking stomach acid inhibitors or diuretics (water tablets).
MetaRelax brings magnesium levels in the body back to normal, and so reduces the symptoms that result from magnesium deficiency. The added vitamins B (B6, B9 and B12) promote the activation of magnesium and give your immune system a boost. Last but not least, taurine regulates mineral balance at cellular level.
How to use MetaRelax
MetaRelax can be ordered online from our partner pharmacies in tablet form (900-mg tablets) and powder form (sachets containing 1800 mg of powder). The tablets should be swallowed whole (without chewing) with some liquid. The powder should be dissolved in half a glass of water. The active ingredient magnesium glycerophosphate is gentle on the stomach and intestines, and is absorbed within only a few hours.
The recommended dose for MetaRelax is:
- Adults and children aged 12 and above: one sachet or two tablets a day.
Children under the age of 12 require a different dose: 5 to 6 mg magnesium per kg of body weight, once daily. Consult your doctor for more information.
MetaRelax can be used over a prolonged period of time. Normally, any surplus of magnesium is excreted via urine and therefore doesn’t pose a risk to your health. MetaRelax is also suitable for pregnant women and diabetics. Read the package leaflet or instructions on the package before use.
MetaRelax is generally well tolerated. In the unlikely event that side effects do occur, contact your doctor.
When not to use MetaRelax
Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients in MetaRelax (see the label on the package or package leaflet). Persons with an impaired renal function should talk to their doctor before taking MetaRelax. If you are in doubt about what you should do, you should always consult a doctor.
