What are Inegy tablets used for?

Inegy reduces the risk of cardiovascular disease by lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood. The tablets contain two active substances, ezetimibe/simvastatin:

  • Ezetimibe – a medicine that inhibits the uptake of cholesterol in the gastrointestinal tract;
  • Simvastatin – a medicine that reduces cholesterol production.

This medication is often used if a cholesterol-lowering drug and/or a cholesterol-lowering diet do not work well enough. Inegy has a more powerful effect than other medications due to its double action and therefore gives a better result in some people.

How to use Inegy to lower cholesterol

Take the tablet without chewing it with some fluid. Preferably take the medicine in the evening. If you forgot a tablet, take the usual tablet at the usual time the next day. Never take a double dose to compensate for the forgotten tablet.

What is the correct dosage for Inegy cholesterol-lowering tablets?

Our partner pharmacies offer Inegy available online in different strengths. It is available as Inegy 10 mg/20, 40 and 80 mg. A doctor will determine which variant is most suitable for you.

Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual starting dose is as follows:

  • Adults and children from 10 years – 1 tablet of the prescribed strength once daily.

Inegy is not suitable for children under 10 years old. Read the instructions before use.
