What is Sorefix?

Sorefix helps prevent and combat cold sores, with products suitable for adults and children from four years old. You can order Sorefix online at the registered EU pharmacies to which we have access.

What is the product used for?

The herpes simplex virus is contagious and can penetrate the body through damaged skin in or around the mouth. Herpes simplex can cause a cold sore, which can be recognised by the following symptoms that take place in stages:

  • A tingling, itching, burning or stinging sensation develops on the edge of the lip, with the surrounding skin turning red;
  • Fluid-filled blisters appear on the painful area;
  • The blisters burst open and the skin becomes painful, inflamed, red and swollen;
  • The sores dry and crusts appear;
  • The scabs fall off the skin and the affected area heals.

It usually takes at least five days before a cold sore heals, and it is contagious from the appearance of the first symptoms. If you suffer from cold sores, you should not kiss other people to prevent infection as well as taking steps to avoid skin-to-skin contact with babies and small children as the virus can be very dangerous for them.

The herpes simplex virus remains in the body after infection. It is usually dormant but can reappear and cause a new cold sore. Triggers that can trigger this include:

  • A weakened immune system, for example due to fatigue or vitamin deficiency;
  • A disease (such as flu, cold or fever);
  • Weather influences (cold, sunlight);
  • Hormonal influences (menstruation);
  • Stress.

Sorefix has developed two different products that you can use to treat or prevent cold sores:

  • Sorefix Rescue cold sore cream helps with the outbreak of a cold sore. The cream contains ingredients that can shorten the duration of the cold sore and reduce the symptoms. The cold sore cream softens the itching and pain and prevents the scabs from breaking open.
  • Sorefix Prevent cold sore balm helps to prevent cold sores. The balm optimises the condition of the lips and helps block certain triggers such as UV radiation so that the outbreak of the virus is averted.

How to apply Sorefix

You can buy Sorefix cold sore treatment online at the registered EU drug stores to which we have access. Wash your hands well before and after use, and apply the cream or balm three to six times a day to the affected area. Use Sorefix Rescue cold sore cream as soon as you notice the first symptoms of a cold sore and continue to use the product during all phases until the affected skin is completely healed.

Read the instructions on the package leaflet before use. Sorefix cold sore products can be used for another 12 months after the package has been opened. Consult a doctor if the cold sore has not improved after two weeks.

Side effects

Sorefix cold sore treatment is usually tolerated without any problems. If you do experience any side effects, consult a doctor.

When should you not use this product?

Do not use Sorefix cold sore treatment products if you are hypersensitive to any of the ingredients (see leaflet). Use in consultation with a doctor if you are pregnant.
