What is Combivent?
Combivent is a type of medicine known as a bronchodilator. It contains two active ingredients, ipratropium bromide and salbutamol sulphate. This combination of medicines has an additive effect in opening the airways. This relieves coughing and makes it easier to breathe in conditions where the airways tighten, such as chronic bronchitis. Combivent is available online through a Dokteronline.com partner pharmacy.
What is Combivent used for?
Combivent is used to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). COPD is a chronic inflammatory condition in the lungs that causes permanent damage to the respiratory passages, causing symptoms such as chest tightness and coughing. Combivent works on receptors that cause the muscles in the airways to contract. It relaxes these muscles, allowing the airways to open. This makes it easier to breathe and relieves coughing. Combivent contains a combination of two different bronchodilators. This makes Combivent especially suitable for patients who don’t get relief from using one bronchodilator.
How to use Combivent
Combivent is inhaled into the lungs using a nebuliser device, which allows the medicine to act directly in the lungs where it is needed most. Open one ampoule by twisting the top and squeeze the contents into the nebuliser according to the instructions in the package leaflet. The nebuliser should be used as directed by your doctor. Clean the nebuliser after use. The doses should be spaced evenly throughout the day. If Combivent does not produce the desired effect, consult your doctor. For more information on how to use this medicine, see the package leaflet.
Dosage
Combivent is available online from our partner pharmacies in packs of 60 single-use ampoules. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the usual dose in adults is:
