What is Vesomni?
Vesomni is a medicine that is used to treat men with urinary problems. Vesomni tablets contain two active ingredients, solifenacin and tamsulosin. Solifenacin is a type of medicine called an antimuscarinic muscle relaxant and tamsulosin is an alpha blocker. Vesomni helps the muscle in the bladder wall to relax. This increases the capacity of the bladder to hold urine, which in turn reduces the need to pass urine. Vesomni also allows urine to flow freely through the urethra, which makes it easier to pass urine.
What is Vesomni used for?
Vesomni is prescribed to men with storage or voiding symptoms. Voiding symptoms such as urinary hesitancy (difficulty initiating the stream), weak or intermittent stream, dribbling after urination, and incomplete bladder emptying can be caused by an enlarged prostate gland. Bladder problems can cause storage symptoms such as urinary frequency or urgency (compelling need to urinate that cannot be deferred). Vesomni helps ease these symptoms. Vesomni is often used when treatment with a mono product has failed to bring the patient relief.
